"I watched Jim Bonebrake coach my two sons. I watched him coach from the stands of the football games, from the car picking up from practice, and from the grass at his summer camps. He coached my older son his Junior and Senior year at Rolling Meadows High School. He set records for most consecutive extra points and longest field goal. His Freshman brother, also being coached by Jim, made many extra points and kicked a 40 yard field goal. Unfortunately he then left to coach at another school. Fortunately he had his kicking camps and kept in contact with my son going into this Sophomore year. He spent many summer days with Coach. He went on to kick for the varsity the next three years. They were both very successful kickers due to his coaching. I didn't always understand the kicking techniques he was coaching, but I did admire the way he treated my two sons. He was positive, he was creatively humorous, and when it was time to listen, he knew how to communicate to them. He would go out of his way to help them, either during the season or off season. They both respect Coach Bonebrake a great deal. My younger son wanted nothing to do with being a kicker like his brothers, but he went to the camps because they were fun. The Cary Jr. Trojan youth football organization has used The Boomer Bonebrake Kicking Academy for 5 years. Kicking an extra point counts for two point's verses one point for running or passing in our league. In 1999 we matched our opponent with 3 touchdowns but lost by 6 points because they kicked and we didn't. Since then we have used The BBK Kicking Academy to help our football teams kick better. Jim Bonebrake runs a very diverse camp with players of all ages. We have had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, and high school and college players all attend our camp. Some players go on and book private sessions with BBK. The season after ouor first BBK camp my team personally, kicked over 25 extra points. Just last year I had a 13 year old kick over 20 extra points and kick a 34 yard field goal. BBK stresses the basic skills in blocking, centering, holding and kicking. All our participants really benefit from all the pointers and secrets to kicking a football. The BBK kicking clinic is one of our most successful clinics that we offer to our players and is by far the most rewarding. I highly recommend BBK for all kickers at any level.
